Although this has been out for a while now, it still deserves some attention. El Pais, a Colombian newspaper, created an interactive online presentation complete with a history of salsa timeline. The special feature is part of their “Reportaje 360” series and focuses on explaining the roots of salsa music. When you check out the report make sure you go through the interactive evolution of salsa timeline to learn about how salsa evolved from 1600 onward to the present day.
Here are some screen shots of the engaging presentation so you can get a glimpse of what you will see. You’ll notice that much of the discussion focuses on Cali, Colombia and the important impact this city has on salsa dancing worldwide.
Check it out online and learn more about salsa music’s rich history. I’d love to hear what you all think about this so please leave a comment here…
See you all on the dance floor!
