The music department at Grossmont College will be hosting a “Salsa Under the Stars” fundraiser on Monday April 29th. The event will feature FREE dance lessons from Grossmont College Dance Department choreographers from 6:30 to 7:30pm at the main campus quad with live salsa music immediately after.
The featured band is San Diego’s local favorite Manny Cepeda Orchestra and will be accompanied by Grossmont’s music department chair Derek Cannon playing Jazz trumpet. Attendance to the event has been huge as seen in this video:
The money raised will go to provide funding towards the Grossmont College Music Scholarship program.
Food will also be served at the event so come hungry.
