How Wearing the Wrong Shoe Can Lead to Disaster While Salsa Dancing

Tuesday, October 27, 2015

Veteran salsa dancers know that wearing the right shoe is essential for both enjoyment and safety while dancing.  This holds true for both men and women.  With women though the matter is even more important since many of the lead/follow elements of the dance will depend on the women’s ability to make precise movements without losing balance.

Case in point, it’s hard to execute a turn in flip flops or even non secured slip on shoes.  It’s way too easy to slip, fall and be injured in footwear that is not designed to stay on you while you move quickly.

Fortunately, there are many dance shoes on the market for women that are designed for the high flying quick movements of Latin dance.  These shoes feature leather or suede bottoms to make turning easy along with buckles or straps to keep the shoes securely on your feet.

E.K. Clothing offers a wide selection of these dance shoes ranging from open toe styles to closed toe styles.  They even offer modified boots especially for dancing.

Check out their selection today and avoid a dance floor disaster!
