Recently I ran across these videos created by Jake, a bay area salsa dance instructor, that gives one man’s perspective on the state of salsa dancing for new dancers to the scene. As you’ll see in the video it pokes fun at the world of salsa, specifically critiquing how dancers interested in joining dance troops are treated by some performance teams.
I’ve never been on a salsa performance dance team myself but I’d be interested to see reader reactions to the videos. Are they accurate? Have any of you had similar experiences?
