The 2017 All White Yacht Party is a few months away but it is not too early to secure your tickets now.  This year Sabor on the Bay decided to host only one event here in San Diego and the May 27th yacht party represents your only opportunity to enjoy the now famous 3 hour cruise.

Included in the cruise is lots of Latin dancing including a special emphasis on salsa dancing in the main deck area.  The live band for the event, Lily Hernandez y su Orquesta, will be performing for the 1st time in San Diego and should be a great act to catch live. If salsa is not your thing, there are additional floors with top 40 music and Afro Cuban dancing to fit your mood.

The cruise will be Cuban themed and the event organizers encourage everyone attending to dress in all white.

Tomasito Cruz, who has played with such greats as  Celia Cruz, Willy Chirino, Arturo Sandoval, Alejandro Sanz and many others will be visiting San Diego for a special workshop he is conducting.  A talented musician in his own right, the workshop will focus on Cuban percussion with elements of timba as well.

The workshop will take place at the World Beat Cultural Center on the 24th and he will perform in concert on the 26th.  For more information about Tomasito and his music please visit the World Beat Center’s website.
