The San Diego Salsa Bachata Kizomba Festival is fast approaching at the end of August and one of the main features that sets this year apart from past festivals is the new addition of Kizomba dance into the mix.
Kizomba dance is uniquely African and has its origins in the music of the Angolan people. Described as a very sensual dance similar to bachata and merengue, it is distinct in its African rhythm that sets it apart from the traditional latin music in the dance scene.  If you’ve never seen the dance before here is a short video clip showing it in action:
During the San Diego Salsa Bachata Kizomba Festival you can have an opportunity to learn from master Kizomba instructor Lucia Nogueira in one of the many workshops to be held over the course of the Labor Day Weekend. Â The San Diego Salsa Bachata Kizomba Festival is August 28th through the 31st during Labor Day Weekend and you can still secure your tickets before it sells out on the official website for the event.
