Fall Back Into Salsa at 1st Wednesdays of the Month w/Meetup.com Wednesday Sept 1st!

Thursday, August 26, 2010

It’s hard to believe that summer is ending but we’ll have at least one more opportunity to celebrate summer 2010.  The San Diego Salsa and Latin Dancing Meetup group in conjunction with Ritmo Bello is hosting our last 1st Wednesday event at Cafe Sevilla September 1st.  Why is it our last one you may ask?  Well, as I shared with you last month Cafe Sevilla will be moving in the fall to a new location.

Join us as we celebrate one final time at the old Cafe Sevilla location.  The event starts at 8pm and this time there will be a LIVE BAND to enjoy beginning at 10pm.

For more information about the event and to RSVP please visit the event page (click here).

See you all on September 1st at Cafe Sevilla!

Meet New People and Win an All Inclusive Flamenco Dinner Show at Café Sevilla August 4th with Meetup.com!

Wednesday, July 28, 2010

Just a quick note that Ritmo Bello and The San Diego Salsa & Latin Dancing Meetup Group will be resuming our 1st Wednesday’s of the Month event at Café Sevilla August 4th.

This particular event will be unique in that we’ll be giving away a number of items for FREE to those that come at 8pm.  Café Sevilla, our host for the event and venue for this meetup, donated a pair of full dinner show tickets to raffle off right before the free dance lesson begins at 8:30 or so.  The Cafe Sevilla Flamenco dinner show is a great fusion of succulent Spanish cuisine, wine, and of course live flamenco dancing (and completely FREE to the winner of the dinner giveaway).  The tickets are normally a  $60/ticket value so don’t miss out on this opportunity.  This video below shows a glimpse of the flamenco dinner show:

Ritmo Bello will also be giving away a free DVD from our Meetup.com sponsor Dance Your A** Off and a documentary about bachata musician Joan Soriano in “El Duque de la Bachata”.

Everything starts at 8pm at Cafe Sevilla and we’ll be holding the raffle early on before 8:30 pm so don’t be late!  For more information about this event and to RSVP please visit the event page at the San Diego Salsa and Latin Dancing Meetup.

SPRING INTO SALSA DANCING at 1st Wednesdays of the Month w/Meetup.com!

Monday, March 29, 2010

Okay, so by now you’ve probably heard about the 1st Wednesday’s of the Month Meetup.com events at Cafe Sevilla (we’ve been hosting them for more than a full year now!).  Well, for those that have made it out in the past  you know that there is a simple formula for how they work:  1) Come out with the intent to have a good time 2) Meet new people & 3) Do something different to interact with your local San Diego salsa community.

This month the theme is to “Spring into Salsa Dancing” with everything that this implies.  If you’ve been sitting on the fence about coming out to our events or if you’ve gone in the past and it’s been some time since you’ve been, I encourage you to come check it out.  The event is free and Cafe Sevilla has been gracious to offer drink specials to our group members for the night (see the RSVP page for details).

For those of you unfamiliar with Café Sevilla, the venue is known for its great Spanish Cuisine and as a great salsa dance venue.

The event is open to everyone so feel free to come alone or bring any friends. We’ll meet downstairs at 8pm in the VIP area of club that will be reserved for our group.  Just look for the Meetup.com signs.  Valerie will give a free salsa lesson starting at 8:30pm.

For full details and to RSVP please check out the special event page here on the San Diego Salsa and Latin Dancing Meetup group. If you have additional questions feel free to contact me on Twitter @RitmoBello.  See you all Wednesday April 7th!
