Many of you in San Diego were first introduced to Joan Soriano in 2009 when Ritmo Bello shared his story as an up and coming bachata music artist featured in Adam Taub’s documentary “El Duque de la Bachata”.  If you’ve been following his story you know that he continues to gain much success in his musical career as he travels the world sharing his music.

We are fortunate to see the Dominican perform live at Blue Agave Nightclub July 20th and I encourage all of you to support this great artist.  For those of you new to him and his music here is a great clip of him in concert performing “Que Pasara Mañana”:

A while back I wrote about Joan Soriano, El Duque de la Bachata, and the great documentary describing his struggles in becoming a bachata music artist.

This weekend you all have the opportunity to meet the man in the documentary as he performs live in concert!  Joan Soriano is performing live at Club Caribe along with Grupo Completo.  If you are new to his music you can get a short glimpse of his work in this video:

Just a quick note that Ritmo Bello and The San Diego Salsa & Latin Dancing Meetup Group will be resuming our 1st Wednesday’s of the Month event at Café Sevilla August 4th.

This particular event will be unique in that we’ll be giving away a number of items for FREE to those that come at 8pm.  Café Sevilla, our host for the event and venue for this meetup, donated a pair of full dinner show tickets to raffle off right before the free dance lesson begins at 8:30 or so.  The Cafe Sevilla Flamenco dinner show is a great fusion of succulent Spanish cuisine, wine, and of course live flamenco dancing (and completely FREE to the winner of the dinner giveaway).  The tickets are normally a  $60/ticket value so don’t miss out on this opportunity.  This video below shows a glimpse of the flamenco dinner show:
