1st Thursdays of the Month with Meetup.com on February 2nd is coming fast and this edition will have a St. Valentine Day theme. Come dressed in red in honor of the holiday wearing any article of red that you have (red shirt, skirts, shoes, whatever you have) and be ready to meet and greet new members who love salsa dancing as much as you do.
The event is open to everyone so feel free to come alone or bring any friends. We’ll meet downstairs at 8pm in the Meetup.com area of the club that will be reserved for our group. Look for the Meetup.com signs. Valerie will give a free salsa lesson starting at 8:30pm.
1st Thursdays of the Month with Meetup.com is coming up again and with it a great opportunity to meet new people here in San Diego in 2012. The focus of this meetup is to cater to those new to San Diego and new to salsa in general (especially in the new year!).
This monthly event held at Café Sevilla is a great way to break the ice with new people in a safe and friendly environment. For those of you unfamiliar with Café Sevilla, the venue is known for its great Spanish Cuisine and as a great salsa dance venue.

It’s official Cafe Sevilla will be hosting Wednesday night Salsa once again!!!
Before Cafe Sevilla relocated to the new Fifth Avenue location, Wednesday nights were known as the “dancers night” within the San Diego salsa community.

Please bring any new, unwrapped toys for donating to the Marine Toys for Tots. In exchange Cafe Sevilla is giving those who donate 1/2 off the cover price before 9:30pm. We will have an area on site at the event (8pm to 10pm) to collect any new unwrapped toys to help out the less fortunate during this Christmas season. This time the event will have a different twist in that we are asking people who attend to donate food to the St. Vincent de Paul Villages in anticipation of the Thanksgiving holiday.
Please bring any NON-PERISHABLE FOOD ITEMS for donating to the St. Vincent de Paul Village and Food pantry. We will have a box on site at the event to collect any canned food and other non-perishables to help out the less fortunate during this Thanksgiving season. In return the club will thank those who donate by giving 1/2 off the cover price before 9:30pm. The San Diego Salsa and Latin Dancing Meetup Group along with RitmoBello.com are hosting our third Meetup.com night at Cafe Sevilla.
This event will have a dress in black theme in honor of Halloween. Also, we are going to have a Meet and Greet Theme for October. We are asking our members to please come at 8pm in order to meet and greet before the music and lesson begins!
Cafe Sevilla is offering drink specials only to our Meetup.com members. Also members will get 1/2 off the cover price if you arrive before 9:30pm. The restaurant is giving away a gift certificate in a raffle again but you’ll have to come early at 8pm to be entered to win (plus you can take the FREE salsa lesson which starts at 8:30pm).

Brazilian Carnaval is coming to San Diego on September 3rd in the form of Sabor on the Bay, the ever growing Yacht party hosted by Alma Marketing Group. Formerly Sevilla on the Bay, this new iteration of the same great Latin themed party is sure to be a fun night. Some highlights of the Yacht experience will include 3 floors of music (Live Salsa Band, Top 40 DJ’s & Live Brazilian Trio), 1,000 capacity luxury yacht, 5 fully-stocked bars, 1 Massive Outdoor deck w/ Cigar Lounge sponsored by Excalibur Cigars and of course salsa lessons by A Time to Dance Studio.
